Responsibilities:
The goal of this position is to provide a hands-on learning experience to the selected candidate to support academic development aligned to coursework in a degree seeking program. This will give the intern/co-op an opportunity to develop and apply knowledge, technical skills, and interpersonal skills in the workplace under the direction of an Electronic & Instrumentation Technician. Additionally, the intern/co-op will have the opportunity to work with Engineering, IT, and Operations business partners on a regular basis. The position provides the opportunity to work in a controlled shop environment, while learning about the Electronic & Instrumentation Technician position in L&S Terminals. The hands-on experience will afford the intern/co-op a solid foundation to confidently pursue a career as an Electronic & Instrumentation technician in any industry.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting simulator maintenance, testing, and development
  • Assisting with electronic equipment refurbishments; touchscreens, pulsers, electronic presets
  • Troubleshooting and repairing control system failures

Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree seeking program majoring in Electronic & Computer Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronic Maintenance and/or Repair Technology
  • Strong academic performance
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time indefinite basis for our Company without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • A valid driver's license is required
