Intern – Network Automation Engineer

The Intern will be part of a team that works on Network Automation and Engineering efforts for MAXIMUS. This position is an internship role that requires attention to detail, good organization, and communication skills. This position will be expected to participate and assist with the development of documentation and scripts to assist with network engineering efforts to automate tasks.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development of automation scripts and tools to help build reliable, fault tolerant cloud infrastructure.

• Document cloud infrastructure and policies from a network perspective

• Assist with the implementation of automation using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, cloud formation templates, and other similar tools

• Work with engineers to help them adopt cloud infrastructure and services to

reduce cost and deployment times

• Perform other duties as required

Education/Requirements:

• Junior or Senior in College

• Use of automation tools and languages such as ansible, python strongly preferred

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with customers, senior-level personnel and

team members and the ability to work well independently and in teams.

• Ready to learn and be part of a team

• Work location is remote

• Prefer candidate in eastern time zone

Additional preferred areas of knowledge:

• Git/Github experience

• Good scripting skills using shell and/or python

• Knowledge / Hands on experience with Azure and/or AWS.
