Accounting Intern- Summer 2023 (Orlando, FL)
As an Accounting Intern, you will work with the Accounting Team to gain an understanding of various processes, accounts, reconciliations, etc. You will perform monthly journal entries, prepare monthly cash flows, and assist with other various projects. You will also have the opportunity to develop and maintain productive team-oriented relationships through individual contact and group meetings.

Responsibilities
Please note that the duties below can vary based on the workflow of your local office.
- Prepare monthly journal entry uploads for consolidation
- Reconcile the platform trial balances and intercompany accounts
- Record monthly journal entries using supporting documentation
- Assist senior accountants in the setup and preparation of monthly platform financial analytics
- Assist with gathering and providing audit requests
- Prepare monthly reconciliations
- Assist with the corporate accounts payable process
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly financial statements
- Assist with revenue analytics and data reconciliations
- Assist with projects outside of month end close. These may include but are not limited to clean-up of the acquisitions and EO folders, assist with process documentation, add new/missing accounts to month end files as applicable, and complete the required AssuredPartners internship program project.

Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or Masters degree from a four-year accredited college or university seeking an Accounting degree
- Attention to detail
- Asks detailed questions to help gain an understanding of assignments and the business
- Professional and proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple, concurrent assignments
- Effectively utilize available and relevant technical tools and resources (e.g. Microsoft Office and Excel)
- Executes Projects: Assists with projects and communicates to supervisor on status. Reaches out for help when needed.
