Therapeutic Support Specialist - DMH Flexible Support Services - Full Time

Exciting opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as a Therapeutic Support Specialist!
 
In this vital position, the Therapeutic Support Specialist provide safe, therapeutic, strength based skill development and resiliency building activities for youth and families, within the home and community.
 
The focus of these activities support include:
  • social and recreational engagement
  • development and maintenance of friendships
  • maintaining personal boundaries
  • stress management/relaxation/and mindfulness
  • daily living skills (ie: money management/use of public transportation)
  • secondary education/pre-vocational/career planning and preparations
  • strategies to prevent and address bullying of others and being bullied
 
Schedule: 40 hours per week

Required Skills
  • Valid driver’s license and regular access to a reliable vehicle required
Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associates degree in mental health related discipline required
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working with youth and families
