 Job Summary: 
 
The Engineer Intern will work with the principals and other team members, our interns have an opportunity to explore careers in Structural, Electrical, Civil and Mechanical Engineering by working with more senior engineers in carrying out technical tasks. Interns will develop skills in a variety of responsibilities including calculations, completeness of data and using prescribed analysis, design, or computation methods. Our teams work on a variety of diverse and challenging projects.
  
In this role, you will: 

  • Provide technical support to various members of the team.
  • Assist in the preparation of Working Drawings, Specifications and Terms of Reference 
  • Provide general technical and administrative support.
  • Process reports, specifications, and correspondence 
  • Use initiative and judgment to resolve problems, obtain and analyze data, design, or modify equipment components. 
  • Solve problems by applying standards and following detailed instructions. 
  • Make decisions within established guidelines, procedures and practices. 
  • Demonstrate initiative in carrying out periodic tasks independently and judgment in determining the methods to apply assigned tasks. 
 
You will be a great fit if: 

  • You are a 3rd or 4th year student, currently enrolled in an applied science or engineering post-secondary program. 
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic team-oriented environment. 
  • You have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle. 
  • You have a good academic understanding of concrete design and concrete behaviors, familiar with building codes and standards. 
  • You are willing to work on site and deal with other professionals. 
 
Skills/abilities: 

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; including technical writing. 
  • Ability to work with multiple projects at the same time.
