Electrical Engineer Intern

Job Summary:
As an Electrical Engineering Intern for Constellium Ravenswood, you are given a project that is directly linked to the manufacturing and production of our product. Constellium values the quality of its products as it plays a large role in fulfilling the needs of our customers. Here at Ravenswood, we currently supply aluminum to NASA'S Artemis Mission that will ultimately send humans further into space. A Ravenswood intern will not only gain exposure to this aluminum but help us make a difference in the aerospace, transportation, and defense markets. 

Job Roles and Team Exposure:
The Electrical Engineering Intern is expected to work during the summer in one of our manufacturing units at the Ravenswood, WV facility. With an assigned mentor, this role will explore a wide variety of opportunities within and outside of the facility. Their main project would involve a cross-functional team that includes the following groups:
  • Electrical engineering team
  • One or more of our 4 manufacturing units (casting, hot rolling, coil processing, or plate)
  • Process Engineers, Managers, Supervisors, Operators & technicians,
  • Automated Systems Group, Maintenance, Central Engineering
  • This provides insight to several different career paths engineers can take. 

Responsibilities are likely to include:
  • Basic understanding of electrical engineering concepts and how it can be applied
  • Ability to identify improvements/ suggestions
  • Gather and analyze data
  • Assist other electrical engineers with the design, assessment, and application/repair of electrical systems within the plant
  • Work in team to manage a project
  • Collaborate with employees and shop floor workers across various departments to gather information and develop projects

Qualifications:
  • Applicants must be pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering Degree.
