Programmer Analyst II - Hybrid

This position may be considered for a hybrid work arrangement based on ALLETE’s needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the employees position will be a blend of work performed both in-person and at an offsite location such as an employee's home office. This position will report to Duluth, MN.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Through a multitude of maps and applications, Geographic Information System (GIS) allow users to see and interact with spatial data that spans the areas served by ALLETE and its affiliates.
- This position will:
- Provide support for the Geographic Information System (GIS) used throughout ALLETE.
- Focus on extending the functionality of both on-premise and cloud-based technologies.
- Develop automation of workflow tasks.
- Implement new technologies and applications.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or another related field of study required
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Four years or more related job experience
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- May need to provide occasional after-hours support
- Candidates may be subject to assessment of skills, job match, or aptitude

- Database modeling, data governance and analytics, PowerBI
- Real-time collaboration technologies like Webex, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams
- Technical Writing, communications skills
- Cyber Security
