Supply Chain Analytics Intern

Kroger is hiring for the Summer 2023 Internship Program, and we are looking for candidates, specifically for the Kroger Supply Chain Analytics team, who are currently enrolled in a college/university with one of the following as your major:
· Business Analytics
· Statistics

· Computer Science

· Data Management
· Engineering
· Math

Interns will be responsible for supporting the supply chain analytics (SCA) organization by developing solutions to complex business challenges within the Kroger supply chain. Assist supply chain analytics resources with a diverse portofilio of projects using a variety of diagnotsic and predictive analytical techniques. Role model and demonstrate the company’s leadership model behaviors and the core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.



Essential Job Functions :

•        Apply discipline specific principles through involvement in meaningful projects to expand technical and business skills
•        Reinforce the educational concepts learned through relevant work experience
•        Provide support to the SCA by process mapping, building presentations, and conducting analysis for supply chain projects including but not limited to: transportation performance to plan analysis, yearly transportation bid preparation and analysis, sales and operations planning alignment and network flow optimization
•        Perform data quality testing on deployed analytics solutions
•        Support the development of project milestones, deliverables, and other key project management requirements
•        Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Candidates will need to have a variety of skill sets:

Minimum Position Qualifications: 

·        Working towards completion of undergraduate degree in related technical field (Information systems, operations research, finance, engineering, etc)
·        Ability to develop solutions to complex problems using data
·        Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
·        Must be able to work alone and as a part of a team
·        Strong attention to detail for identifying errors in calculations, reports, and dashboards

As an intern, you will work on innovative and challenging projects. You will also apply concepts learned in a classroom setting to hands-on work assignments, interact with all lines of business within Supply Chain and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
