2023 Summer Internship| L&OE Intern
School Year: Master’s
Dates of Internship: June 1st, 2023 – August 4th, 2023
Format and Location: Hybrid – Chicago, IL
 
We are seeking a Data Analyst Intern to join our Learning & Organizational Effectiveness (L&OE) team. This individual will report to the Manager of Learning & Development and will be onsite or hybrid (three days a week) at either our corporate offices in Chicago, IL or at one of our 190+ dealerships nationwide. Our Data Analyst intern will be transforming and building reports and dashboards to show measurements for learning execution, learning impact, and business performance results. As part of this internship, you will gain experience extracting appropriate performance metrics and leveraging them to demonstrate the opportunities and successes of our L&OE projects and strategy. Additionally, this role will assist in developing evaluation and assessment methods to measure knowledge transfer, skill and competency development, and performance improvements.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Data Validation: Compare and verify reporting metrics and datasets to ensure the accuracy and identify/resolve any bias or misinformation and the analyses are void of bias or misinformation.
  • Data Visualization: Build reports and dashboards that quickly and accurately convey metrics through meaningful visualizations and can be leveraged to improve deliverables for better utilization and effectiveness to drive business results.
  • Data Engineering: Acquire datasets that align to learning & performance objectives. Model, build, test, and maintain reports and dashboards within Power BI.
  • Learning Evaluation: Through the use of Kirkpatrick techniques, build assessment and evaluation methods to measure satisfaction, knowledge transfer/retention, skill and competency development, performance improvements, and business impact.
Process and Innovation:
  • Enhance current processes and systems to drive the learning culture.
  • Recommend new tools, processes, and procedures to continually improve the way we analyze gaps or performance deficiencies, build & implement programs, and measure the effectiveness of solutions.
  • ·Execute projects quickly, with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Education and Experience:
  • In pursuit of (or a recent graduate) a master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, I/O Psychology, Instructional Design, or another related field.
  • Experience with Power BI to cleanse and model datasets and extract meaningful insights.
  • Experience troubleshooting and knowledgeable in information technology disciplines (relational databases, system security, etc.)
  • Extensive experience and expertise with Microsoft 365 (particularly Excel).
 
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Up to 5% travel required.
