Internship- Internal Auditor ( Part-time/Full-time)

This is an intern position for the financial Internal Audit team.
Conducts internal financial, operational, compliance and/or system audits and risk assessments. May test and document financial, operational and computer system records for information system integrity and transaction accuracy and completeness. Reports discrepancies. Assists in the preparation of audit plans and understands the specific issues to be evaluated. Executes internal audits within established business process controls. Assists with the development of formal written reports to communicate audit results to management, the Audit Committee and regulatory compliance agencies, if applicable and makes recommendations as appropriate. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Are closely managed by more senior staff members
 
Job Responsibilities: 
  • Assists in conducting testing on systems, processes, operations, and activities within the area of audit scope. Obtains, analyze, and appraises evidentiary data as a basis for an informed, objective opinion on the adequacy and effectiveness of control systems, efficiency in the performance of activities, and compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. 
  • Assists in identifying factors causing deficient conditions; prepare sufficient working papers that document testing procedures and conclusions reached on the assigned audit project. 
  • Assists with preliminary discussions of apparent deficiencies with operating personnel to verify and obtain explanations of and reasons for each apparent deficiency and document responses. 
  • Assists with compiling audit findings and recommendations into an audit report for Internal Audit management review. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 
  • Understand and adhere to all corporate policies to include but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. 
 
 
Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the job:  
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business management or equivalent required.  
  • Experience with software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite environment, Lotus.   
 
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed for the job:  
 
Work Environment: 
  • Standard work environment 
  • Majority of time spent on PC (Phys. Req.) 
  • Travel required, may be domestic or international
