The Ahmad Butler Foundation (ABF) is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated intern to join our Research (Patient Support) department. Our foundation supports children and families battling cancer and other life-threatening conditions, and we are committed to providing comprehensive disease and wellness navigation services to our patients and their families. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in finding financial aid and support resources for patients and their families
  • Familiarity with healthcare policies and regulations related to disease and wellness navigation
  • Knowledge of clinical trial enrollment procedures and eligibility criteria
  • Experience with patient-facing roles or customer service
Note that meeting these preferred qualifications is not a requirement for the position, but will be considered an advantage.
The internship is unpaid and will last for a period of three months, with the possibility of extension based on performance. The intern will be expected to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to accommodate their academic commitments.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of disease and wellness navigation, while also making a difference in the lives of those who need it the most. Interns will receive hand-on training and mentorship from the Director of the department, who has extensive experience in the healthcare consulting space. Hence, this is a unique opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare or life sciences consulting space.
