Compliance Coordinator (Melrose Park, IL)

Position Summary: 
The focus of this role is to actively identify and implement functional improvements to our vehicle sale processes, while also completing dealership services for vehicle sales. Position responsibilities include: ensuring the accuracy of vehicle sale documentation that follows Federal and State compliance requirements, implement process improvements through root cause analysis, data analytics, training, and monitoring of various vehicle sale processes. This position also entails coordination with other teams including: the Project Management Team, Vehicle Sales Team, Tax Team, and Legal Team.

Major Responsibilities: 
•Ensure that all sales compliance procedures adhere to existing state and federal regulated procedures.
•Dealer required services including:
  -Title assignments and title transfers
  -Registration
  -Temporary Tags
•Vehicle jacket validations including compliance of:
  -Federal Record Keeping Requirements
  -State Required Dealership Services
  -Dealership Fees
  -Federal Trade Commissions' Used Car Rule: Buyers Guide
  -Implied Warranty Requirements
  -Taxes Collection
  -Dealer Licenses (Wholesale), and all required documents
•Measure and identify opportunities for procedural improvement, provide recommendations, and execute ideas. 
•Other projects as assigned by supervisor. 
 
Qualifications: 
•Bachelor's Degree preferred 
•Prior experience in process improvement required. 
•Lean Six Sigma certification preferred. 
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. 
•Excellent written and oral communications skills required. 
•Excellent time management, organizational skills and follow-up with the ability to switch gears as required based on changing priorities without losing attention to detail.
•Critical thinking skills required. 
•Strong interpersonal skills enabling associate to be a valuable team player.
•Research skills: skilled at assessing situations, able to seek multiple perspectives and gather more in depth information.
•Experience working with external customers to understand needs and identifying new ways for the company to deliver them.
•Experience dealing with government/state agencies or state vendors a plus.
•Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job 
•Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
