JOB SUMMARY: 
The Business Manager is responsible for ensuring successful daily operations and administrative functions of the Outpatient Clinic. The position supervises assigned administrative/non-clinical program staff and provides administrative support to Mental Health Therapists, Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Manager. The Business Manager collaborates with clinic and division leadership to develop and implement consistent practices and operations.
 
Program: Outpatient Services 
Morrison Child and Family Services delivers outpatient mental health services to children, ages 2 through 18. At the core of our work is a belief in the importance of acknowledging strengths and creating resilience in each child.  Our skilled therapists collaborate with each child and their support system to identify a treatment approach that addresses the child’s mental health symptoms and leads to improved functioning in all areas of the child’s life.  We strive to provide culturally responsive services and respect the values and unique perspectives of all our clients. 
 
 
Position/Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Essential functions include the following duties and responsibilities, competencies, and other characteristics. The incumbent in this position is required to perform the following duties, which is representative to the level of work appropriate to this position.)  
  • Oversees Outpatient clinic business operations and researches, compiles and analyzes data and information for special projects and reports.
  • Ensures that the clinic has the appropriate administrative staffing which includes coverage as needed.
  • Coordinates with building management/facilities to prioritize and address needs. Monitors clinic for safety and compliance and participates in ongoing safety committee meetings.
  • Assists in budget development and provides oversight on expenditures, monitors contract billing and compliance, authorizes payables and/or prepares payable for approval and oversees centralized purchasing for assigned program(s).
  • Monitors and proactively manages medical billing claims, insurance authorizations, and benefit assignments, coordinating between the medical billing department and clinical staff as needed.
  • Responsible for all aspects of employment for assigned staff, including hiring, training, supervision, support, performance evaluations, work plans, etc.
  • Coordinates workloads, schedule and priorities for administrative support staff and Childcare Workers and assures completion of assigned tasks.
  • Provides support and training of clinic and outpatient administrative teams where necessary or requested.
 
 
Education and Work Experience:  
A typical background for the person who can fulfill the duties of this position is as follows: 
  •  A high school diploma or equivalent is required
  • 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role
  • 3 years of related experience
  • Intermediate (advanced preferred) proficiency related to data bases, web-based environments, word processing, email, and spreadsheets.
 
Valued Experience
  •  Experience coordinating with CCOs, medical billing, and conducting authorizations
  • Previous use of electronic health record systems
  • Bilingual Spanish
 
Other Requirements 
  • Attends all required agency and program trainings
  • May be required to work irregular hours outside of the normal program business hours
 
Starting Pay Range:  

Business Manager: $22.23-$24.73/hour
Bilingual Spanish Business Manager: $25.32-$26.96/hour
