Director of Business Operations

Director of Business Operations – Prevention Programs
Full Time, Full Benefits
FLSA: Exempt
Job Summary:
The Director of Business Operations is responsible for all facets of internal and external business relationships and operations for the Prevention Division. This position will work with the Division Director, Senior Management, Administration, and other program staff to develop and ensure successful and efficient business operations. This position works with all stakeholders to respond to business needs and supports the programs to successfully work with both Morrison departments and outside constituents. The position oversees all administrative services within the Division and supervises assigned staff.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and continually improve operational structure and oversee business operations of the Division through collaboration with administrative departments. Ensure agency culture flows throughout daily operations to provide exceptional client care. Follow established Morrison business practices at all times in conjunction with program business operations.
  • Oversee the general management of business operations and ensure adherence to established policies, quality standards, regulations, and key metrics. Establish and maintain program operational expectation metrics and provide analytics with which to evaluate and manage business operations. Establish a system of accountability for achieving operational expectations.
  • Benchmark, develop and implement best practices to promote efficiencies and quality enhancement in every aspect of assigned program business operations. Coordinate with all departments within administration to ensure compliance with all contract requirements and federal and state regulations to develop efficient and effective business systems and processes.
  • Develop and monitor budgets to ensure fiscal management is stable in all departments. Work closely with finance throughout the fiscal year and during annual budget development.
  • Maintain and leverage relationships with referral sources, networks and local communities. Establish and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders, effectively communicating to enhance customer service, develop contracts and manage compliance.
  • Oversee administrative services for the Division. Ensure services are efficient, maintain a high level of customer service and ensure compliance is met in all areas.
  • Manages and coordinates complex projects.
Education and Work Experience:
A typical background for the person who can fulfill the duties of this position is as follows:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications or administration and management or related field OR combination of relevant work experiences up to 3 years may substitute for Bachelor’s degree training.
  • A combination of 5 years project management or experience coordinating interdepartmentally and supervisory/leadership experience.
  • 1 year of direct supervision of employees.
  • Advanced skills in using Word processing, Excel spreadsheets, databases and email applications.
 Valued Experience:
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field
  • Technical and objective writing skills
  • Experience with program and department budgets
  • Experience in social services/mental health field
  • General understanding of the Oregon Medicaid system
 
Other Requirements:
  • Position may require work outside of usual work hours on occasion as needed to meet project deadlines.
  • Able to pass a comprehensive criminal history background investigation
  • Must meet agency driving requirement
Starting Pay Rate:
Director of Business Operations: $35.97-38.40/hour
