Family Nurse Practioner
We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner with Psychiatric experience to become a part of our team.
The position is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, providing treatment plans, prescribing medication therapy, and offering counsel across the lifespan.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
- Maintain a customer-oriented approach to meeting patient needs in an expedient manner, involving the family in the plan of care as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- DEA is a plus
- Previous experience in Psych Nursing
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, administration and physicians
- Strong leadership skills
- Stress resistant
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
