Mayor's Office of Contract Services

Agency Description: MOCS is the City's oversight and service agency that is dedicated to optimizing existing operations and transforming processes to make it easier to do business with the City. MOCS works with agencies, vendors, and providers to ensure that the contracting process is fair, efficient, transparent, and cost effective to the City.
Unit Description:. The Learning and Development Unit oversees the development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of training events for City Agencies, vendors, and prospect vendors. Under the guidance and supervision of the Assistant Director, the Learning and Development Intern will assist with event coordination, research, writing assignments, digital content creation, and constituent engagement.  
This internship is on-site.

Internship Responsibilities:

·       Develop event registration pages  
·       Track event registration and send out daily registration reports 
·       Schedule and contribute to event-related meetings with MOCS staff  
·       Assist with collection and analysis of training data 
·       Assist with training engagement coordination and execution  
·       Assist with drafting external communications 
·       Assist the Learning and Development team in its day-to-day operations 

Qualifications/Special Skills/Area of Study

·       Attention to details required 
·       Excellent writing and communications skills 
·       Organizational and strong writing skills required, and ability to work in a team-like environment 
·       Willingness to work with a growing team in a fast-paced environment 
·       Be a dynamic team player

Salary Range:   $15.75/hour (undergraduate), $17.00/hour (graduate)
 
Internship may not be used to fulfill college credit requirement.
