Summer Camp Health Aide

Excellent opportunity for a student interested in working with children in a healthcare capacity and eager to experience summer camp life!

Emagination STEM Camps is looking for a residential summer camp Health Aide to maintain health and medical records, and to support campers and staff with illness, injury, and medication distribution. The ideal candidate will be level-headed in all situations, an excellent communicator, and enthusiastic about working with children and young adults in an active camp environment.

This is a seasonal position at Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT from July 13 to August 12. Compensation includes a competitive weekly salary, housing and meals.

Requirements:
  • First aid and CPR certifications
  • CNA or EMT
  • Available to reside on location for 5 weeks of employment at Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT
  • Must be at least 21 years of age by June 1

Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily care and first aid to approximately 60 campers and 12 staff.
  • While on-duty, be available and ready and able to serve our camp community with the support of our administration and full-time camp staff.
  • Administer care and first-aid to injured/ill campers
  • Administer medications
  • Update medical logs using an online platform (CampDoc)
  • Communicate with parents and physicians
