Job Description
- Obtain Single Audits from the Federal Audit Clearinghouse based on a sample provided
- Follow the standard operating procedures, perform the first level review of the audit and create notification letters for secondary review
- Perform validations on claims for agreements, checking to ensure all supporting documentation is present
- Perform reviews and validation of links in published guidance to ensure information is accurate
- Potential to be involved in verification of current business processes to ensure elements are captured for us to move into a new agreement system
Duties include:
- Single audit reviews for grant recipients
- Validation of claims for appropriate documentation
- Validation and review of information contained in guidance document agreements
- Potential business process model reviews
Location: Virtual
Hours per week: Flexible
(Minimum 20 hours Maximum 40 hours per week)

Supervision:
- Interns will report to the Farm Protection and Conservation Business Center
- Interns will receive guidance and feedback from supervisor daily, weekly, or as needed.
- Interns formal evaluation are completed at the following segments of the internship session, Mid-term and Final Performance Evaluation.
Requirements Conditions of Employment
- You must be a US Citizen or US National.
- Must be in good academic standing as defined by their academic institution.
- Unofficial Transcript can be used when applying for the position
- Satisfactory Background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- The position is renewable, based upon effective performance, availability of funds, and program needs, with the possibility of a multiple-year appointment.
