2023-2024 Rock River Community Clinic - Systems & Procedures Public Health AmeriCorps Member

Purpose of the Position
The AmeriCorps Member activities will increase access to healthcare to the low income and uninsured population by providing efficiencies and system support of integral components to ensure operations of the clinic are sustainable and suitable for clinic growth and the delivery of high-quality healthcare to the most vulnerable populations.
 
Essential Duties        

  1. Help implement and support policies, procedures, and best practices which maximize access to healthcare and improve overall quality of care:
○       Assist Revenue Cycle Manager and Billing System team in creating workflows and supporting financial operations to receive Medicaid and Medicare claims.
○       Assist with insurance screening and enrollment processes for staff
  1. Develop efficient systems and oversee the capture, management and analysis of cancer screening reports and performance by RRCC.
○       Work closely with providers to create and support time-efficient workflows and procedures to capture cancer screenings completed for eligible populations.
○       Manage data cleaning or organization efforts capture cancer screening referrals and completion of cancer screenings with community partners.
○       Create and distribute monthly reports of screening activities and completion rates to assess performance and guide outreach efforts and data capturing/analysis challenges.
○       Create quarterly data visualizations to present to HRSA and community partners.
  1. Lead marketing outreach efforts to promote clinic initiatives (including cancer screening initiatives and insurance coverage options).
○       Work with Care Navigators and Health Promoters to promote cancer screening awareness in the local community. Assist with community events and partnerships to promote annual check-ups.
○       Oversee and manage social media pages through scheduled weekly posts and requests
○       Assist with website content, particularly related to insurance and the promotion of clinic services.
  1. Performs other duties as assigned to include assisting with clinic operations (i.e., patient surveying, etc.).
  2. Completes department-specific orientation and annual competencies for this position.
