Business Applications Specialist (SAP)
JOB SUMMARY
The Business Applications Specialist is responsible for supporting SAP S/4 ERP, Business Intelligence (BI) and integrated systems requirements with focus on Belimo Americas. In this role, the Business Applications Specialist works closely with our internal business customers and IT teams in Americas and globally to enable, document and support processes and process changes, understand and document business requirements, and translate business requirements into technical requirements.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
The Business Applications Specialist reports directly to the Head of IT, Americas and bears full responsibility for agreed upon goals and objectives.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interface directly with end users from business teams across SAP ERP and BI environments providing assistance and support through clear analysis of issues and problem solving.
- Participation in team efforts with directed customer involvement across all departments to integrate cohesive systems and processes that support Belimo’s strategic business goals.
- Assist with SAP ERP, BI and Analysis For Office (AFO) projects.
- Support SAP data mining, extraction, and reporting activities.
- Create Queries within SAP to support ad-hoc reporting requirements.
- Support and develop SAP functionality in close liaison with other Business Applications team members globally.
- Understand and follow standard project management methodologies.
- Create clear business requirement specifications including acceptance criteria and test cases.
- Transfer user and business requirements into functional and technical system specifications.
- Participate in business and/or process change discussions and help identify potential impacts.
- Provide daily support of the application portfolio, especially those applications interfacing and integrated with SAP.
- Ensure documentation and Knowledge Base documents are created and updated in conjunction with process and technical changes.
- Participate actively in identifying and implementing process improvements across Belimo business and technical teams.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or 3 years additional relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.
- 2-4 years SAP ECC or S/4HANA experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with SAP business processes. Prefer Sales and Distribution (SD).
- Experience working autonomously and part of a team. Understands value of teamwork and individual members, shares information freely and openly to advance knowledge of team.
- Experience with extraction and reporting.
- High attention to detail with good analytic, documentation and research skills.
- Advanced Excel skills, with ability to comfortably use pivot tables, and importing / manipulating high volume of data.
- Strong business acumen, collaboration skills and customer focus.
- Ability to understand and manage complexity.
- Exceptional communication and accountability.
- Knowledge of and experience with project management methodologies.
- Understanding of business processes in other SAP functional areas. Materials Management, Production Planning, Logistics Execution, Business Intelligence and systems integrations a plus.
- Experience in Analysis for Office and SAP Analytics Cloud a plus.
- SQL knowledge a plus
