ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform static structural analysis using both manual (textbook theory) analysis and FEM
- Build Finite Element Models to determine internal loads, locate stress concentrations and perform analysis on components
- Create stress analysis reports and/or test plans for substantiation
- Support static/fatigue test execution and test results.
- Review drawings, specifications, service bulletins, reports, etc.
- Document compliance with FAA regulations covering structural strength, crash protection, interiors item, basic loads, weight balance, fatigue life, and flight test instrumentation.
- Acts in collaboration with representatives in other disciplines (design, mass properties, manufacturing, materials & processes, etc.) and under the guidance from Structural Analysis Engineers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Enrolled in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering, Familiarity with Basic structural analysis, Finite Element Modeling Techniques, and 3D and 2D CAD, Knowledgeable about Microsoft office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in an office environment. The employee may be occasionally exposed to a manufacturing environment and elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, chemicals, or some other elements less desirable than usually found in an office.
This position is onsite at the Vero Beach, FL facility and does not include telecommuting.
