Information Technology Intern (Summer 2024 - Data Science)
The Data Science Intern will work directly with the Associate Vice President of Data and other team members and will be in person in our Cincinnati office. This position is a full-time internship opportunity for Summer 2024 (May though late July/early August) with flexible start and end dates that align with your school semester. Hopeful application timeline: application will be open until early October with interviews occurring on a rolling basis throughout September and October and candidate selected by late October.

Phillips Edison’s operating platform provides retail services including acquisition, redevelopment, leasing and management of grocery-anchored retail centers.
What you’ll do:
The Data Science Intern will work directly with the Data Science Integration Lead and other team members and will be in person in our Cincinnati office.
- Design, analyze, and decipher insights end-to-end on a project from data requirement gathering to data processing, modeling, and impactful business recommendations
- Design, execute, and translate results of experiments (e.g., AB testing)
- Design and establish machine learning models and data pipelines
- Work closely with research, marketing, finance, and other data driven departments to scope, design, and execute data science projects
What we’re looking for:
- Current student actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, Data Science/Analytics or other related field) with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Experience with machine learning, statistical model development, and/or economics
- Proficiency with statistical software/programing language
- Experience with SQL or other programming languages
- Experience with data visualization tools
- Strong analytical skills and a creative problem solver with the ability to aggregate, cleanse and analyze a large amount of data from various sources
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to multi-task various projects to hard deadlines, including prioritizing and time-managing recurring duties and ad hoc tasks as they arise
