Informatics Specialist/Data Analyst

SALARY RANGE: $47,655.00 - $57,186.00 Hourly

DESCRIPTION:
Provides strategic assistance to the Tribal Data Coordinator, by ensuring SPTHB’s information systems support the information needs of the Oklahoma Tribal Epidemiology Center (OKTEC).
Recommends enhancements to health information systems to interface with existing Indian Country systems where needed.

Anticipates the impact that new or modified software will have on existing standards and
systems, workforce, and Tribal public health programs, and makes recommendations for solutions.

Assists the Tribal Data Program Coordinator with ongoing evaluation of OKTEC’s organizational and information systems for the purpose of program monitoring and evaluation, functionality, and reliability to meet goals and objectives of SPTHB’s programs and policies.

Provides and disseminates subject matter expertise on the information technology system(s) utilized by state(s) and local agencies across the region served by SPTHB to identify system requirements and health information exchange data standards.

Troubleshoots problems reported by information system users.

Functions as a resource to provide information to OKTEC, Tribes, and other partners.
Assists in the coordination of technical assistance and/or training for system users, supervisors, and directors. Assists in designing workflows and processes for OKTEC data management.

Provides technical supports to Indian Country informaticists/data specialists, information technology staff, epidemiologists, evaluators, and other public health staff.

Conducts literature reviews, and prepares informatics models, frameworks, or summary documents as needed.
