Our 10-week Intern program is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in accounting advisory. The program includes formal training, mentoring, networking events, and real-world projects that provide an invaluable look into accounting advisory and life as a Full-Time Analyst.
As a Summer Intern in the Accounting & Reporting Advisory practice at Stout, you’ll be a key contributor to multiple projects over the course of the program, advising public and private clients across a variety of services, including technical accounting, public company readiness, financial reporting, internal controls, and finance integration.
At Stout, you are engaged in real work right away.
As a Summer Intern, your day-to-day contributions might include:
- Supporting clients across a variety of transactions, including M&A and IPOs;
- Researching complex accounting topics and drafting summaries or memos;
- Preparing financial statements and footnote disclosures; and
- Supporting finance function assessments for newly-acquired private equity-backed companies.
Qualifications / Skills / Requirements:
- Pursuing a BA/BS/MS in Accounting or related discipline
- Graduating between December 2024 and June 2025
- Strong academic record
- G.P.A. of 3.0 required, 3.3 or higher preferred
- Demonstrated interest in Transaction Advisory
- Analytical, quantitative, and attentive to the details
- Advanced MS Excel proficiency strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Must be eligible to work in the US, without employer sponsorship, at the time of hire and in the future
The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $26.00-29.00/hour (depending on prior work and industry experience, education level, and unique skills). This role is not eligible for bonus or benefits.
