Outdoor Leadership / Recreation Management Internship
The Outdoor Leadership / Recreation Management Internship will place the candidate(s) in a supervisory position overseeing the logistics and implementation of various aspects of programming at Camp Arrowhead. This role will allow the participant to explore leadership roles and responsibilities related to management of camp operations on multiple levels. Length of program is 10 weeks.
Qualifications:
- Positive attitude and outgoing personality
- Exceptional organizational skills, prioritization and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- The ideal candidate also has youth program experience, understands age-appropriate programming and has participated in or led youth staff training
Responsibilities:
- All responsibilities included in Camp Counselor position description at Camp Arrowhead
- Complete reports, evaluations, and documentation for participant and staff feedback
- Develop plans and goals across multiple activity areas that coincides with the core values of Camp Arrowhead (Grow, Lead, Explore, & Create)
- Oversee staff development needs that leads to a positive experience with the overall goal of increasing staff retention
