Scope
The software developer internship position works in advanced software technologies, a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment developing truly innovative software solutions for federal and commercial customers. This position develops cutting-edge software for:
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
- Enterprise-level web applications
- Simulation and Artificial Intelligence
Please note that this position requires U.S. citizenship status pursuant to a government contract.
Major Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Web development (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, PHP, Django, Bootstrap, RESTful architecture)
- Application development with Java, Python
- Software development for Linux platform in a virtual environment
- Database development (SQL-based, such as PostgreSQL, and NoSQL-based such as MongoDB)
- Object Oriented programming
- Agile software development
- Git and Jira development tools
Required Skills
- Student who is currently enrolled in and will have completed three (3) years of bachelor’s degree in computer science by May 2024.
Required Experience
- Experience in college-level computer science classes.
