Rotational Summer 2024 Internship

Rotational Intern Program:

Our eight-week internship program offers the opportunity to gain exposure to various departments within the Bank through a rotational program structure. 

The primary areas of focus are Credit Administration, Commercial Lending, Wealth Management and Retail Banking. 

Interns will be assigned to and rotate throughout the various departments for
typically, one week, where you will interact with key stakeholders and complete various departmental projects. The final two weeks of the program are dedicated to “capstone” projects. At the conclusion of the program, you will present your
findings to members of the Senior Management team. These presentations will undergo a formal review. Interns will have the opportunity to attend program-sponsored social and team building events.


The goals of the internship program are to:
• Encourage teamwork and provide challenging assignments and projects
• Provide both the Bank and you with the opportunity to determine which departments and job functions may
best fit based on skill-set and interests.
• Provide access to in-house training for both work-specific and general skills
• Provide the opportunity to “own” a project or piece of work demonstrating responsibility and that your
contributions are valuable to the organization
• Offer full-time positions at United upon graduation to those interns whose performance is “exceptional”
 

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Current college junior working towards obtaining a bachelor’s degree
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
• Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced
environment
• Strong multi-tasking and detail-oriented skills
• Ability to travel up to 10% (may require overnight travel)
 

Essential Functions:
• Sitting for extended periods of time.
• Sufficient dexterity of hands and fingers to efficiently operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer
components.
• Ability to converse and exchange information with all levels of staff within organization.
• Ability to observe, perceive, identify, and translate data
• Ability to travel via air, rail, automobile and/or bus.
