Technology Associate - Software Engineer

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Wellington Management is seeking individuals to be part of the global early career program in the Technology function, which is part of our Investment Services and Technology (InvesTech) function. As an Associate, you will develop the foundation to become successful in a career in financial technology.

 

We expect new entrants to join the InvesTech Associate Program in July 2024. During your first two weeks with us, you will participate in our Base Camp Development Program. This program is designed to equip you with new skills and knowledge of our clients, industry, firm, and culture while developing a strong internal network. By investing in your personal growth on day one, you will help us continue to exceed our client’s expectations. After the two weeks, Associates will receive training and skill building opportunities to develop expertise in the technology that drives asset management.

 

ROLE

The technology group is responsible for designing, building, testing, and supporting our robust technology suite. This group works in partnership with functions across the firm to solve complex business problems with technology. On the software engineering track, you will:

  • Build application functionality, leveraging implementation patterns and open-source solutions where appropriate
  • Work closely with business users and analysts to review strategic business requirements and collaborate on design specifications
  • Determine impact to servers, network and storage capacity, and throughput in conjunction with infrastructure delivery teams

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduates graduating with a Bachelor’s degree between Fall 2023 – Summer 2024
  • Demonstrated interest in technology, and the investment management industry (all backgrounds welcome to apply)
  • Strong academic performance
  • Proven leadership experience and participation in community service and extracurricular activities
  • Internship experience or coursework in software engineering, including design patterns, programming languages, and constructs

INTERVIEWS

Candidates will be notified on an on-going basis, but mainly in the weeks after the application deadline. If chosen, the First Round will consist of a phone interview with a campus recruiter and the program manager. Then, Final Round interviews will take place via video with multiple hiring managers.

 

The start date for the program is July 2024.
