IT Intern, Business Process and Data Management

Summary

CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Information Technology group. We are looking for an IT Intern to help support a variety of projects and tasks that will range in scale and complexity within the Global Business Process and Data Management team. This position will participate in the global process design and development of actionable insights to ensure successful technology implementations. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be a strong team player who thrives in a team-oriented environment and comfortable working with ambiguity and a fast paced and changing environment.

Ideal candidates will live in the St. Paul/Minneapolis, MN metro area in order to work a hybrid schedule (2-3 days per week in the corporate office, located in Inver Grove Heights, MN); may consider remote options for top talent. The CHS IT Internship Program is targeted for 5/13/2024 - 8/16/2024 (this timeframe can be somewhat flexible).

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, test, and validate process mining dashboards and analyses.
  • Work with key stakeholders to identify all system activities within their process areas for technology implementations.
  • Analyze and evaluate current state processes, procedures, controls, information, and documentation systems.
  • Assure focus on operational use cases to drive daily value generation.
  • Identify critical success factors, metrics, and KPIs in process analysis and design.
  • Develop and track business process related metrics.
  • Perform other work as assigned.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management, or similar STEM degree program

Additional Qualifications

  • Hands-on data visualization and SQL experience
  • Experience with process mining technology from Celonis and/or Signavio
  • Experience with HANA, SAP, S4, BW
  • Experience in business transformation initiatives
  • Self-motivated, self-directed with strong problem-solving skills
