Summer 2024 Internship - Credit Union Finance Analyst

As an intern, you would:

• Assist with the preparation of SFFCU Financial Statements/Analysis and 2025 Budget
• Exploration of SFFCU general ledger reconciliations for purposes of identifying potential efficiencies
• Identify efficiencies gained with exposure to CU Budget worksheets and What-If scenario reporting
• Additional training and exposure to SFFCU new core system conversion to include:
  • Data validation/Balancing on new core system
  • Familiarization of standard & custom reports on new core system for documentation purposes
• Research projects applicable to SFFCU Asset/Liability Committee

Internship Information:

This position will be in a hybrid work environment

Dates: May 20, 2023 – August 2, 2024

Qualifications

• Proficient in use of Microsoft applications such as EXCEL worksheets, WORD, with knowledge of ODBC SQL queries being a plus
• Degree focus in accounting, finance, or economics
• Adheres to good time management skills to meet report deadlines, and ability to use self-management techniques
• Demonstrates strong judgment in decision making and problem-solving skills
• Typically makes good independent decisions, asks information-seeking questions, and knows when to involve others
• Seeks opportunities within assignments to suggest improvements in established processes
• Strong communication skills with varying levels of management
• Proficient in utilizing a collaborative approach to gather critical information, validate assumptions, and confirm accurate results
