Human Resources Internship (Summer 2024)

Job Description: Tractor Supply Co. is seeking an enthusiastic HR Summer Intern to join our Human Resources team for a 12-week paid internship in the Nashville/Brentwood, TN area. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR operations and contribute to the success of our HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Assist in the recruitment process, including job posting, resume screening, and scheduling interviews. Participate in onboarding activities for new hires.
  • Employee Relations: Support HR professionals in handling employee inquiries, conducting investigations, and addressing workplace issues.
  • Training and Development: Assist in organizing and coordinating training sessions, workshops, and development programs.
  • Benefits Administration: Help manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits-related tasks.
  • HRIS Support: Utilize HR Information Systems (HRIS) to update employee records, generate reports, and assist with data analysis.
  • Policy and Compliance: Ensure HR policies and procedures are adhered to and assist in compliance efforts.
  • Employee Engagement: Collaborate on employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, recognition programs, and events.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate HR records and assist in generating HR reports as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Discretion and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Enthusiasm for HR and a desire to learn about HR best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
