Internship: Recreational, Art, or Music Therapist

Poplar Springs Hospital is a 183-bed acute care and residential facility. This individual will assist and observe ancillary therapy assessments/consults, and group activity therapy sessions.  Will assist and participate in carrying a caseload, developing and implementing therapeutic activity sessions, and assisting in completing all related documentation. The intern will assist with development of a related program strategy and monitoring and evaluating patient outcomes.  Interacts with medical, nursing and other program staff members. While learn to provide timely and accurate documentation.  Participates in referral development activities as directed.
