IS Change Management and Communications Intern

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the planning, development, and implementation of change management and communication plans for IS projects and initiatives.
  • Collaborates with project teams and other specialists to ensure effective integration and implementation of change management plans and activities.
  • Assists in the identification of potential people-side risks and impacts of change efforts and anticipated points of resistance.
  • Supports the communication and marketing activities of the IS department.
  • Helps to create, revise, distribute, and maintain communication and marketing materials.
  • Assists in the measurement and evaluation of change management and communication efforts.
  • Supports the development of training strategies and materials.

Qualifications

Education Requirement:

  • High school graduate and enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate accredited university, required.

Skills:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  • Proficient use of MS Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with basic project management approaches and tools.

Experience:

  • Two years of experience or education in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, change management, or project management, required.
  • Experience and knowledge of basic change management principles and methodologies, required.
  • Content Management Systems and Intranet design experience, preferred.
  • Technical writing experience, preferred.
