Safety Coordinator Trainee and/or Entry Level Safety Coordinator

SUMMARY

Under the direction of a Safety Leader, the Safety Coordinator Intern or Entry Level Trainee learns the basic principles of the industry, efficient operations, safety requirements, and effective leadership communication and relationship building skills with the goal of becoming a Safety Coordinator at one of Quanta Services Operating Units

ESSENTIAL/ NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Receives extensive safety training, including classroom instructions and field construction project site work.
  • Implements and maintains company policies, adhering to local, state and federal environmental, Safety, Health, and Environmental regulations.
  • Responsible for preparing, maintaining, and updating Safety, Health, and Environmental policy and procedure manuals.
  • Assists with development, implementation and updating of required written Safety, Health, and Environmental programs and plans.
  • Plans, schedules and executes safety related projects.
  • Responsible for reviewing accident investigation reports and participates in accident investigation process as needed.
  • Inspects work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety policies and regulations.
  • Perform analysis and trending of EH&S statistics and metrics to proactively monitor safety performance.
  • Help develop and/or perform employee safety training.
  •  Wiling to complete internship in various states
  • Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent and minimum 0-4 years of experience.
  • Certified Safety Professional certification preferred.
  • Basic skills in using MS Office applications.
