Our Accounting and Advisory practice is seeking high-performing graduates that will be responsible for providing the highest levels of client services to our valued clients as well as the opportunity to work with and receive guidance from our Accounting and Advisory professionals to join our Quality Assurance team as an Intern. At Mazars, we understand that accounting, tax, and consulting is not just about numbers, this role will also focus on building long-lasting relationships with our teams, clients, and community.
The location for this position will be in one of the following offices: Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, or New York.
Start Date: January 2024
What You Will Do:
Assisting field auditors to comply with the firm’s quality control procedures, including performing proof-reading and math checking of financial statements
Working closely with the supervisor and other members in the team of Technique and Innovation to ensure that attest engagements are reviewed in a timely manner
Assisting in various research projects and other tasks as assigned
Keeping the firm’s reference library on accounting and auditing up to date
Maintaining and updating the firm’s engagement database (on Microsoft Access)
Assisting in timely distribution of final deliverables to clients
What We Seek:
Education required: Actively working towards Bachelor or Masters degree in accounting
Certification preferred: Eligible to sit for the CPA exam/meet all educational requirements to satisfy the 150-credit hour requirement necessary for the CPA license in the state in which your office will be located
This is a year-round position and requires you to be in-house in one of the locations listed above at least 2 days a week in the summer and at least 1 day a week after the summer intern cohort ends
Willingness to work a minimum of 20-25 hours a week
Active involvement in organizations (volunteering or campus related)
Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills
Motivated and hard working in order to meet client deadlines and provide excellent service to clients
Motivated to work as part of a team and build constructive working relationships
Able to operate in a paperless workplace and proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
A team player
Ability to travel to client locations as needed

The salary range for this role takes into account many factors including, but not limited to, years and type of experience, skill sets, and certifications. The projected salary range for this position is $30 an hour.
