Job Summary:

The Drafter should have a basic knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation software and limited experience in using it to generate drawing packages. The Drafter should have the ability to prepare CAD drawings based on engineering red line comments, sketches, diagrams or schematics. The Drafter should have the ability to read and understand both client and ENTRUST CAD standards following them closely. The Drafter will work across all engineering disciplines utilizing their CAD knowledge and relying upon Design Coordinators, Engineers and Designers for guidance on industry knowledge.

What You’ll Do:

  • Create existing conditions drawings from as-built, GIS, aerial imagery, field notes, and survey data
  • Set up sheets, title blocks, notes and details as an overall part of a drawing package
  • Add annotation and dimensions to plot plans, details, and schematics
  • Plot drawings to PDF for review
  • Modify drawings as directed by Design Coordinator, Engineer or Designer

Required Qualifications: (2-5 bullets)

  • 0-2 years of general basic CAD related experience or industry experience preferred
  • High School Diploma required
  • Associate degree or completion of related technical school courses 
  • Ability to understand instructions and independently carry out assigned tasks
  • Must be comfortable reading and interpreting technical documentation
