Microbiology Technician - Entry Level

Piper Companies is currently seeking an Entry Level Microbiology Technician to support a growing global food safety, and quality company.

Responsibilities of the Microbiology Technician  

• Read plates and tubes to determine the number of organisms in each sample
• Record finding on worksheet for verification, and write identification onto plates
• Pipette sample solutions into tubes/plates according to the analysis process being formed
• Prepare sample for analysis by recording, blending, and weighing
• Collect plates and place them in the incubator for the specified amount of time and temperature
• Support laboratory management in the implementation maintenance, and improvement of management system

Qualifications of the Microbiology Technician    

• 1+ year of relevant work history is required (internships/co-ops acceptable)
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to pick up on new skills quickly
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED

Compensation for the Microbiology Technician    

• Pay Rate: $19.50/hr
