S&ME’s Spark Internship Program is open to current students in Finance and Accounting. 

As part of the 2024 Spark Internship Program, you will work alongside experienced professional and technical employee-owners within your area of interest. You will be a part of an intern cohort and will learn about all aspects of S&ME.  S&ME’s internship will provide you with invaluable hands on experience, access to technical experts across the company, as well as provide professional development to help you transition from campus to career and find success in our industry. 

The Accounting Intern:

• Will gain basic hands-on accounting experience.
• Assist members of the accounting team with various daily tasks including reports, analysis, research, and database maintenance.
• Perform general accounting duties including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing.
• Shadow multiple staff positions within the accounting department and train on a variety of tasks.
• Perform and assist with ad hoc projects.
• Perform clerical duties as needed including data entry.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in an Undergraduate or Master program in Accounting or Finance; Rising Juniors, Seniors, or Graduate students preferred.
• Aptitude to learn financial system software.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• At least 18 years of age.

These are full-time, internship positions for a twelve-week period from May 2024 through August 2024 with competitive pay based on experience. Housing or a housing stipend will not be provided. Successful candidates must meet the requirements of the company's Fleet Management Program, Substance Policy and Reference check program.
