Program Leader (Seasonal Summer)

The Program Leader, operating under the supervision of the Senior Program Coordinator, holds an exempt, seasonal position. In this role, Program Leaders are responsible for preparing, facilitating, and cleaning up activities, ensuring programmatic safety, and providing necessary supplies like water, sunscreen, and bug spray to program areas. They are often lifeguards and undergo additional training for climbing and team-building activities. 

Preferred qualifications (but will train) include experience in working with individuals with disabilities, CPR and First Aid certifications, and the ability to work weekends in fall, winter, and spring, and or an 8-week commitment during the summer. Key skills encompass interpersonal and decision-making abilities, oral and written communication, leadership, computer proficiency, self-initiative, sound judgment, dependability, adaptability, motivation, diligence, and a sense of humor.

Specific duties involve setting up and leading assigned programs, providing assistance to campers in activities, building relationships with campers, collaborating with associates to create memorable experiences, and offering support with personal care activities. Additionally, Program Leaders document camper interactions and perform other related duties as assigned by Program Coordinators.

Essential functions of the role include the ability to perform specific duties and work extended hours, proficiency in camper care, behavior support, and effective communication, making decisions that prioritize care and safety, and identifying/responding to environmental and safety hazards. Program Leaders must adhere to all related Recreation Unlimited rules, policies, and procedures throughout their responsibilities.

Pay starts at $240 a weekend with free room and board from Friday at 4:00 till Sunday 11:30 AM!

Weeklong pay starts at $520 a week with free room and board from Monday at 8:00 AM till Friday 12:00pm or 5:00PM. Weekends off!!
