Writer and Marketing Intern

Mirrorball Collective is a company that specializes in planning and hosting events, styled shoots, content creation days, photography retreats  as well as launching a digital and print magazine.

 

This writing internship provides the opportunity to research trends in the events and wedding industries and write blog posts and articles about upcoming trends, spotlight photographers and vendors and be creative to publish engaging material.  You will learn about marketing and social media platforms in the events industry through advertising for styled shoots and content days at various venues as well as creating a client base for the photographer.

This is a remote internship with the opportunity to attend in person photoshoots but not required to attend.

 

Responsibilities:

• Write blog posts and articles for Mirrorball_Mag

• Assist in making a marketing plan to attract clients by writing engaging content

• Create brand awareness through the use of social media platforms

• Work with the social media and marketing team to create new ideas for articles

• Identify web trends and find new ways to engage our audience

• Write emails to send to vendors, venues, photographers and subscribers

• Grow email list and subscribers for Mirrorball_Mag

 

 

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication and writing skills

• Working knowledge of social media analytics and social campaigns

• Outgoing and friendly personality

• Proactive and generate ideas on how to improve current processes to generate and engage followers

 

Requirements:

• College Student in a degree program concentrating in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Event Management, Communications, or a similar degree.

• Strong writing skills

• Desire to learn and improve

• Able to work from home 

• Must have reliable Wi-Fi Internet capabilities and a smartphone, laptop, computer, or tablet

 

 

PLEASE NOTE:

Hours per week: The internship is normally around 7-10 hours per week, but if your school requires a specific amount of hours per week, we can work with that as well. This internship is flexible and remote, so you can work around your schedule. 

Start date: As soon as possible or approved by your school if needed.

End date: The internship is flexible, depending on when your school semesters start and end it will be based around this. 

This internship is a short- term internship. It can be a semester or 3 months. We offer a letter of recommendation at the end of the internship, you may use it for school credit if your school allows this as well. This is an unpaid internship to be used for school credit.

 

Some educational institutions require prior approval before the start of an internship for academic credit. It is the responsibility of the student to check with their institution to be sure they meet academic or curricular requirements before accepting a position.
