University Relations – Corporate Strategy Senior Intern

*This twelve-week paid internship is located in Chicago, IL*

 

What Are Your Responsibilities?

This position is responsible for actively participating on multiple projects across Corporate Strategy, where you will have the opportunity to; directly engage in shaping and executing strategic initiatives for a $50B leader in health insurance, partner with senior executives to define and translate our corporate strategy into tangible, actionable roadmaps, engage in a broad array of critical advisory engagements across the enterprise and interact with resources from all levels of the organization to facilitate collaboration and set the stage for meaningful change.

The Corporate Strategy Sr. interns will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting projects that have strategic, operational and/or financial significance to the company, our internal clients, and our health plan members. Corporate Strategy Interns will meet business leaders from all levels and have a chance to learn about the culture and values of the organization, as well as network across lines of business and functions. Interns will also learn details around a Critical Experience Program that is open to University New Grads post MBA degree. Your internship should enhance not only your consulting skills, but also your networking skills. Interns will also need to:

  • Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.
  • Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned
  • responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.
  • Create a final internship PowerPoint presentation to share with department leadership covering the internship experience, the assigned project over the course of the summer, including the results along with any solutions or recommendations that can be leveraged by the department in the future.

What Do You Need To Be Successful?

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to engage at all levels of an organization, including with corporate leadership
  • Preferred: Has previous healthcare related experience

What Are the Requirements You Must Meet?

  • Pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree or Master of Healthcare Administration degree.
  • Graduation date between December 2024 and June 2025
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • Availability to work 12 weeks during the summer.
