Environmental Engineering Intern

Our Environmental Engineering Interns are responsible for performing tasks requiring the application of standard environmental techniques and procedures. Responsibilities include assisting with environmental site assessments, field studies, development of soil and groundwater sampling plans, data validation and evaluations, GIS analysis, site remediation, and preparation of environmental reports, permits, and assessments.

Our interns assist with environmental remediation projects, which include earth retention, de-watering systems, waste water treatment systems, construction monitoring, insitu-remediation, excavation and backfill, and restoration They work with the project team throughout the design, construction and restoration process according to budget constraints, design factors or client needs.

  • Assist with tasks that may include filing, scanning, data entry, documentation, Power Point presentation.
  • Assist with responses to general questions.
  • Collect water, soil, sediment and ambient air data.
  • Complete data validation and statistical analysis
  • Understanding and development of data trends
  • Present solutions to concerns.
  • Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications 

  • Pursuit of Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering or related degree from an accredited program.
  • Prior internship and/or related consulting experience Preferred
  • Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
  • Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.
