Business development Intern

  • Receive inbound calls and conduct outbound calls - in order to speak with prospective clients to understand the supply of investment opportunities in the market and to learn about how deals and potential partners are prequalified and how over the long-term relationships are established and maintained with key participants in the space
  • Responsible for finding suitable properties and carrying out the necessary due diligence and research on each deal you find to minimise the risk and find the investment that’s right for our clients and their investment strategy
  • Book and property viewings on the properties that financially stack up and provide good returns
  • Negotiate with Estate agents and vendors to secure an agreement for company let usage and deliver these opportunities to the business development team in a time efficient manner internally, work is then done to collaborate with you on these opportunities to turn over a deal as soon as a closure is possible achievable
  • Manage deals and transactions from inception to completion, making sure you regularly follow up with the agent, vendor and investor to ensure a smooth transaction
  • Build and maintain great relationships with agents and other intermediaries to allow us to obtain fantastic deals that the general public would never have access to
  • Co-ordinate the exchange and completion of several properties within the required timeframe so you will need to be highly organised, able to prioritise and work well under pressure
  • Take part in helping us secure off market deals by contacting various market participants, doing so on alternative U.K marketplaces in order to generate more leads.

We also provide landlord with a free and easy solution for their vacant property. We will either take on the property ourselves and offer you (the landlord) guaranteed rent each month – whether the property is vacant or tenanted. Or, We will pass on the property one of our trusted companies who are experts in the field of property management. We also have a range of properties available for serviced apartments. 1-2 bed apartments in great locations such as near public transport and event areas are ideal for attracting busy professionals and contractors who may be staying in area temporarily for work. Holiday makers are always interested in these types if stays advertised on air bnb and booking.com and you (the investor) has a chance to benefit from passive income from this type of investment

On-site Supervision and Support

Our internships include 24/7 on-site staff to support students working and living abroad. All students will also report to a supervisor at their internship site. Supervisors provide and oversee daily tasks, introduce the intern to team members, and mentor the intern in organizational agility, skill acquisition, and career readiness. Interns complete a midpoint and final evaluation, and supervisors complete a final evaluation of their interns. All work responsibilities and projects are approved in advance. 

Academic Credit

Students on an internship have the opportunity to enroll in their home university for credit, or enroll in a course through API to transfer back to their university for credit. Email support-internships@apiexperience.com for more information and a syllabus.

Housing and Excursions

Housing and excursions are included in your internship and will be selectable during the application process.
