Business Development Intern

Position Description:
The Business Development Intern will be responsible for supporting the company's mergers and acquisitions efforts. This includes conducting research on potential acquisition targets, analyzing financial data, financial modelling market research, and preparing reports for senior management. The intern will also assist with due diligence activities and help to identify potential synergies between the company and its acquisition targets. This role will provide the intern with an exceptional learning experience and an opportunity to contribute to the company’s success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential acquisition targets, and new market opportunities. Analyze market data and prepare insightful reports to guide decision-making processes. Stay up-to-date with industry news, innovations, and market developments.
  • Monitor and analyze competitor activities, products, and strategies to identify competitive advantages and areas for improvement. Develop comprehensive competitor profiles to inform the company’s positioning and market strategy.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and strategy meetings to provide input and creative ideas for business growth. Help in developing and refining business development plans and strategies.
  • Assist in coordinating and tracking progress on various business development projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of initiatives.


Required Qualifications:

  • Successful execution of projects or initiatives effecting multiple internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Proven program/project management involving cross-functional and global teams
  • Ability to understand and manipulate financial valuation models
  • Experience utilizing broad word processing, spreadsheet and presentation tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship
  • At least 4 years of relevant professional experience


Education Requirements:
Pursuing MBA degree with relevant finance or accounting coursework and strong academic performance. Completion of two semester of MBA course work by the end of May 2024 with an expected graduation date by the end of May 2025.

Travel:
Ability to travel to Racine, WI and other domestic locations is required.
