Summer Intern/Sales Operations and Analytics

Department Description:

Sales Operations and Analytics ensures that sales operations run smoothly, and that the analytic tools which provide insights to our field teams are up to date and accurate.  We provide a critical function within the organization by connecting the insights and strategies of the home office teams with the needs of the Sales teams.

Job Description: 

The Sales Operations and Analytics Summer Intern will be responsible for maintaining first line responses to field queries around the analytic tools the field uses.  They will have the opportunity to work across several different teams to identify resolution and/or escalation paths. Additionally, the Summer Intern/Sales Operations and Analytics will work with the Sales Operations and Analytics Leads to review weekly datasets and identify national and subnational market insights and trends to share with Market Development Directors.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Sales, Business Analytics, General Business, or similar analytical disciplines. 
  • Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the duration of the assignment.
  • Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communications skills - this position will communicate across several business areas and levels, and must be comfortable with reducing complexity of technical answers to straight-forward language
  • Analytical abilities - Strong Excel skills and familiarity with utilizing tools (PowerBI) and/or languages (Python/SQL) to quickly parse large datasets to identify insights, issues, or trends
  • Focus on problem solving - this position will face a variety of challenges that will require unique solutions

  • While GSK embraces a flexible work environment, we do require certain positions to be onsite. Candidates who are hired for an on-site role or hybrid role, and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location, are eligible for relocation stipend. This is a one-time payment to help offset housing & relocation expenses. Please refer to the position details for the requirements of each position.
