Grants and Development Intern

Ebenezer Medical Outreach, Inc. is seeking a Grants and Development Intern to learn and grow through advancing our mission to Build a Healthy Community. Gain valuable professional experience as you apply your passion, talents, and coursework to grant and fundraising activities for a local mission-driven non-profit. Receive strong mentorship and work on a supportive interdisciplinary team as you help secure funding for high-quality healthcare for the uninsured and underinsured in our community. 

Accountability: The Grants and Development Intern will work under the direct supervision of the Executive Director.

The primary functions of the Grants and Development Intern are:

  • Coordinate the completion of at least 5 grant applications, including: participating in the identification of funding opportunities; gathering relevant data; writing compelling proposals; coordinating needed team member input; ensuring on-time completion of submission activities; and participating in updating of overall strategy based on awards received.
  • Monitor project deadlines and coordinate team responses.
  • Update donor information, coordinate engaging communications, and assist in development of annual fundraising strategy.

Minimum Education / Experience: High School diploma or GED required. Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various other software programs is required. 

Working Environment: This position generally functions within a health care office setting with frequent time spent on the computer, or interacting with clients, patients, families, and other health care team members via telephone, electronically, or face-to-face.
