Outreach Intern

Ebenezer Medical Outreach, Inc. is seeking an Outreach Intern to learn and grow through advancing our mission to Build a Healthy Community. Use your creativity to help a local mission-driven non-profit reach the uninsured and underinsured through engaging social media content and print marketing materials. Network in the community as you represent the organization at local events and working groups. Receive strong mentorship and work on a supportive interdisciplinary team as you help connect the uninsured and underinsured in our community to affordable high-quality healthcare.

Accountability: The Outreach Intern will work under the direct supervision of the Executive Director.

The primary functions of the Outreach Intern are:

• Complete project that measurably grows number of uninsured patients receiving services from Ebenezer Medical Outreach.
• Create content that engages current as well as prospective patients, volunteers, and donors through social media, print marketing materials, and other communication channels.
• Participate in community fairs and forums as a representative of Ebenezer Medical Outreach, Inc., raising awareness of the organization and bringing back new opportunities to collaborate.

Minimum Education / Experience: High School diploma or GED required. Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and various other software programs is required. 

Working Environment: This position generally functions within a health care office setting with frequent time spent on the computer, or interacting with clients, patients, families, and other health care team members via telephone, electronically, or face-to-face.
