Tax Intern: In this position there is direct supervision, guidance and review by higher level accountant who provide instruction, assign work and review performance.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn how to prepare simple federal, state, and local tax returns for businesses (private and nonprofit) and individuals
- Learn basic bookkeeping skills
- Learn how businesses operate
- Learn how to handle complex business situations
- Learn about tax laws and how they affect decisions

Learn the following software:
- CCH Axcess
- Quickbooks
- Excel
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education:
- Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in accounting or another related field and in at least junior standing
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Time Commitment:
- A minimum of 15 hours a week will be required.
