POSITION SUMMARY

The Medical Equipment Hospital & Surgery Center B2B Sales Representative promotes the company’s products and services throughout their assigned territory ensuring strategic relationships are generated and maintained resulting in new customer acquisition, customer retention, and ongoing promotion of the company’s Mission and Vision statement. He/She is responsible for creating sales revenue and driving profit margins in new and existing accounts. Sales Representatives will be calling on healthcare systems, hospitals, surgery centers and imaging clinics throughout New England and New York. The role drives the company forward through assertive professional consultative sales and contributes to MED’s success in the marketplace. The Sales Rep works collaboratively and effectively within all levels of the organization. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Job Functions)

  • Generate leads for products and services (Capital Equipment, Asset Disposition or Imaging System De-installation/Removal Services) within designated territory
  • Maintains and increases sales volume within assigned accounts and territory; meets and exceeds assigned quota (# calls per day/emails per day/leads per day/sales per week/revenue per month, etc) and exceeds customer expectations regarding customer service and solution-minded interactions
  • Identifies new business opportunities, generates leads, closes new business opportunities, and converts accounts from competition
  • Strengthens relationships with current customers. Grows revenue through repeat business and referrals
  • Demonstrates success and a passion for servicing and learning new technologies
  • Works closely with the MED team members
  • Attends meetings and training sessions
  • Attends Trade Show association meetings
  • Manages and maintains an active pipeline and follow to closure
  • Solicits and explains difficult concepts while moving the sales process to closure
  • Manages sales pipeline
  • Targets new and existing accounts to stimulate new opportunities through telephone selling, as well as “cold calls” to Hospital, Surgery Center, Healthcare System accounts in assigned territory
  • Creates business through “warm calls” by connecting existing customers with expanded services or products
  • Keeps up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service call logs and internal records – effectively uses CRM to drive customer penetration and opportunity identification
  • Utilizes data and analytics to identify opportunities and share with team members
  • Collaborates with all departments, prioritizing tasks as needed for efficiency and compliance
  • Performs other duties to establish and grow a solid business base
