TSMC Arizona is looking for a Yield Enhancement intern to join our 4-nanometer fab, located in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. TSMC Arizona’s Yield Enhancement Department is responsible for Defect reduction, Yield improvement, and Inspection methodology excellence.

 

Job Description:

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Operating inline inspection and reviewing equipment to show capability for inline defect detection.
  • Using statistical process control principles to sustain production line health and prevent defect induced excursion events; working with module engineers to identify and eliminate process and station defect source; designing and executing experiments; interpreting and extracting insightful results from complex data sets to implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating effectively with integration and process organization partners to identify technology gaps and deficiencies, evaluate and qualify mitigation and continuous improvement solutions.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and have:

  • Must be currently enrolled at an accredited university, in [one of] the following degree programs: Bachelors/Masters/PhD, EE, MSE, ChemE, Physics with a concentration in semiconductors device or process.
  • Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week at least) on-site at our Phoenix location, from  May 20th , 2024 – August 2nd, 2024.
  • The candidate is expected to utilize their engineer education, curiosity, and thinking to learn defect inspection methodology and process flow knowledge. And the candidate will be expected to be self-motivated learner, good at proactive collaboration, and should get the opportunity to work in a team presenting and discussion their work and ideas.
